Belgian television crew at Upper School
On the first day back after the Christmas and New Year break, we welcomed to the Upper School a three-man crew from the Belgian TV News Programme Koppen.
The crew had been especially despatched to London charged with making a short news documentary featuring our two Belgian students Sander Blommaert (graduate year) and Nina Tonoli (first year). Koppen is the flagship news gathering programme of the Flemish-language VRT network (Vlaamse Radio-en Televisieomroeporganisatie).
The crew, reporter Peter Brems, Filip Vaerewijck (camera) and Davy van der Jeugd (sound), spent the entire day at the Upper School getting to know Sander and Nina, conducting in-depth interviews, attending training sessions and basically following their every move during the day. The visit culminated in a window shopping trip around Covent Garden and an impromptu supper party.
The programme (in Flemish) can be viewed from Thursday 21 January at the VRT website.
