Anthony Horowitz visits The Royal Ballet Lower School, White Lodge

On Wednesday 3 March 2010, award-winning writer Anthony Horowitz visited White Lodge to coincide with the celebration of World Book Day.

Anthony Horowitz is one of our most celebrated contemporary authors of books for young people. His Alex Rider series has sold millions of copies worldwide. He has won many major awards including Bookseller Author of The Year Award, Children’s Book of the Year at The British Book Awards and the Red House Children’s Book Award. In 2006, his novel Stormbreaker was adapted in a film starring Micky Rourke and Ewan McGregor.

After meeting White Lodge staff, he gave two talks focusing on his latest novel which is entitled Crocodile Tears. During the visit, every White Lodge student had the opportunity of engaging with Mr Horowitz who also singed copies of his books.

The visit also included the opportunity for Mr Horowitz to visit The White Lodge Museum and Ballet Resource Centre and he watched Year 10 ballet class before having lunch with the pupils in the Norman Hall.
