Students perform at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden

On Wednesday 3 November, three 2nd Year students performed at St Paul’s Church during the Eucharist service. The School - near neighbours to the Covent Garden Church which is also affectionately known as The Actors' Church - had been invited by the Actors' Church Union to participate in this year's Patronal Festival.

Students Teo Dubreuil, Jamie Kopit and Melissa Parsons performed an extract from a piece choreographed to Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3 in G Major by fellow student Mariana Rodrigues. The piece had been originally created by Mariana during the recent Dancing the Cello project, developed for the School by internationally-acclaimed cellist Robert Cohen as part of the students’ annual choreographic training programme. The students were accompanied for the performance at St Paul’s Church by Rebecca Herman, a student of the Royal Academy of Music.

The service was led by the Rector of St Paul’s, The Reverend Simon Grigg, and the sermon was offered by The Reverend Jack Nicholls.
