Students spend day with Birmingham Royal Ballet
Graduate-year students of The Royal Ballet School travelled to Birmingham yesterday (Wednesday) to spend the day with Birmingham Royal Ballet. The visit was at the invitation of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Director, David Bintley, and was designed to give students a taste of what life would be like in the Company.
The students watched morning ballet class taught by Dominic Antonucci, met the dancers (many of whom are Royal Ballet School Graduates), toured the Company’s Thorp Street headquarters and were given the opportunity of asking questions about the Company. In the afternoon, the students were treated to a performance of David Bintley’s Cinderella, featuring the debut in the title role of a former student, Delia Mathews.
