SOME of Guernsey’s young ballet dancers will be taking part in masterclasses led by The Royal Ballet School’s Outreach Programme this Sunday (19 September) at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts.

Thanks to the sponsor, De Putron Fund Management, over 75 dancers between the ages of eight and 13 will receive professional tuition and guidance from teachers from one of the world’s great ballet schools

The programme is now in its third year in Guernsey and, for the first time this year, it will also be held in Jersey over the same weekend.

Hayley de Putron, head of investor relations at De Putron Fund Management, is pleased to be bringing the programme to Guernsey once again.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for the young dancers. It is a privilege to sponsor this event and I very much look forward to welcoming The Royal Ballet School back to Guernsey,” she said.

The programme being presented is designed to offer promising young dancers the opportunity to receive world-class training whilst also identifying those who show particular promise and the potential to go further.

“The visit by The Royal Ballet School’s Outreach Programme is a great day for all involved but equally, it is a fantastic opportunity for those who have the ability and will to take their interest in ballet to the next level,” said Kathryn Wade, Principal of the Outreach Programme.
